A pair of rare baseball statues from around the 1880s, made by German firm Gebruder Heubach. The statues measure 16" in height, a size which is much harder to find than others. The angelic-faced pitcher is wearing a blue striped hat, jersey, and socks with white pants and holds a ball between his hands. The hitter is holding a bat in both hands and is decked out in a red pinstriped hat, jersey, and socks. The statues look to be NRMT and feature some restoration, but it is not clear where the repairs were made. These are impressive pieces that help to celebrate the early days of baseball.
