A Type I photograph of the iconic Babe Ruth during the 1921 season. In the 6.5x8.5" image, Ruth stands in his Yankees uniform looking on as Nick Altrock performs a comedy routine. The caption on the back of the image reveals that Ruth had recently hit a home run off of Walter Johnson. The photograph has been verified as Type I and encapsulated by PSA. The company also notes that the original news service photo came from Underwood and Underwood, a pioneering photograph producer and distributor. Ruth had a monster season for the Yankees in 1921, setting career highs with 59 home runs, 177 runs scored, and 171 runs batted in.
