This large framed wall display commemorating the career of Hall of Fame pitcher Cy Young is highlighted by both a signed black-and-white Hall of Fame postcard and a T206 tobacco card. The postcard has been signed by Young in blue ink along the base, with the signature grading 9/10. The card was postally used (postmarked "Jul 21 1955") and features a handwritten note in which the writer tells his friend that he just visited Young, who gave him a number of signed postcards. Based upon the postmark, this card was signed by Young just four months before he died (a photocopy of the reverse accompanies the display). The card is moderately toned and is otherwise in apparent Excellent condition. The T206 Cy Young tobacco card (Glove Shows) features a Sweet Caporal reverse and has been graded VG 40 by SGC. The other items in the display are as follows: 1) Cy Young Upper Deck SP Historical Impressions card numbered 40/75. In apparent Near Mint condition. 2) Magazine photo (3x5") of Cy Young taken from a 1906 Spalding Guide. Graded EX-MT 6 by SMA. 3) Photo (modern print; 9.5x7.5") of Cy Young in pitching pose.
