A sprawling Bill Barilko netted the overtime game winner that captured the Stanley Cup for the Leafs at the close of the 1950-51 season. Barilko would never play another game as he disappeared soon after while on a fishing trip. As the story of the Barilko curse goes, the team did not win another championship until 1962, the year Bill’s body was discovered in the wreckage of his airplane. This copy of the game program from the night of the historic goal is dated Saturday, April 21, 1951 on the center roster page. The cover sports a perfect Bill Barilko signature at the bottom center along with 15 of his victorious team mates including Ted Kennedy and Turk Broda. Can you imagine! This incredible piece was signed by Barilko on the very night he won the Cup for the Leafs! Quite possibly the last program he ever signed as he would soon meet his fateful end! Come with a vintage file photo of winning overtime goal.
