Shortly before his celebrated over-time goal and mysterious demise, Bill Barilko put his pen to this promissory letter. Dated August 8th, 1950, the document refers to the contract for the upcoming 1950-51 NHL season. Bill has signed in fine fountain pen, and in full, “William Barilko” and the signature of a witness to the fact appears as well. Two folds at the bottom do not affect the signatures.
