Displayed is a 1936 New York Yankees World Champion black & white Type I team photo, in beautiful condition. The photo includes rookie Joe DiMaggio. The photo appears to have been taken during the Bronx Bombers' '36 spring training in Florida. The '36 Yankees went 102-51 in the regular season to win the AL Pennant, and the squad went on to defeat the New York Giants in six games to win the World Series. Hall of Fame center fielder DiMaggio is third from the right in the second row. That year, DiMaggio, only 21 years old, batted .323 with 29 home runs and 125 RBIs. Other Hall of Famers in the photo and their '36 most relevant statistics: Catcher Bill Dickey, batted .362 with 22 home runs and 107 RBIs; First baseman Lou Gerig hit .354 with 49 home runs and 152 RBIs; Second baseman Tony Lazzeri hit .287 with 14 round-trippers and 109 RBIs; Pitcher Red Ruffing went 20-12 with a 3.85 ERA; Pitcher Lefty Gomez went 13-7 with a 4.39 ERA. Also in the photo is that year's Yankee skipper - Hall of Fame manager Joe McCarthy. The photo has a Thorne Photo stamp on the verso. The team photo has been encapsulated and PSA Certified as Type I AUTHENTIC.
