A clock awarded to Heinie Groh in recognition of being named to the Greatest Reds Team Ever in 1969. The gold-plated item is 8" wide and 9" high and includes a plaque which reads, "Heinie Groh, 3B, GREATEST REDS Ever, May 18th, 1969, Crosley Field." The team held the event to honor their history, and Groh was named the team's third basemen. Groh was a member of the Reds from 1913-21 during the "dead ball era" of Major League Baseball, winning the World Championship in 1919. Considered one of the best defensive players of his era, he retired from the sport in 1927. Groh was also inducted into the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame in 1963.
