Presented is a 1964 Mickey Mantle Home Run #430 ticket stub from the June 13th game at Yankee Stadium against the Chicago White Sox, won by the Yankees 6-3. The Yankee Hall of Fame center fielder hit 536 career home runs, still more than any other switch-hitter in history. Mantle played his entire career with the New York Yankees. He hit .298 lifetime, and he was a part of seven World Champions. Mantle was a 3-time AL MVP and the 1964 season was his last time he had a stellar campaign. In '64, he hit .303, with 35 homers and 111 RBIs, finishing as the runner-up for the AL MVP. Mantle's home run came in the bottom of the 4th inning, a one-out bases empty shot to deep right-center. Mantle was batting right-handed as his home run blast was off left-hander Frank Kreutzer. The Yankees won the '64 pennant but were defeated in a seven-game World Series by the St. Louis Cardinals.
