Presented is a ticket stub to the Mets' first game at Shea Stadium played on April 17, 1964, vs. the Pittsburgh Pirates. The ticket is 1.5x3.5" and is graded a 7 by PSA. Printed on the ticket in Mets orange is the date, Friday, April 17, 1964, "Opening Day", and a sketch of a sad-looking Mr. Met holding an umbrella and catching a raindrop. On the back of the ticket, "Pitt." was written with a blue ballpoint pen in an unknown hand. The Mets played at Shea Stadium from 1964 to 2008.
