1953 Brooklyn Dodgers program, issued for a game against the St. Louis Cardinals, signed on the covers and the interior scoring page by fifteen players, plus Happy Felton and Connie Desmond. All but five of the signatures appear on the back cover, where it has been signed by Dodgers players Jackie Robinson, Pee Wee Reese, Duke Snider, Jim Gilliam, Clem Labine, Chuck Dressen, Russ Meyer, Bobby Morgan, Carl Erskine, Bobby Cox, and Carl Furillo. The signature of Happy Felton, longtime host of the legendary "Knot Hole Gang" television show, also appears on the back cover. The Cardinals' Enos Slaughter has signed the front cover, while the signatures of three of his Cardinals teammates appear on the interior scoring sheet: Stan Musial, Solly Hemus, and Harvey Haddix. The fourth signature on the scoresheet is that of Dodgers sportscaster Connie Desmond. All the signatures have been scripted in pencil, with the exception of Musial (blue ink), and grade 8/10 on average. Although the program is not scored, our consignor obtained the signatures personally at Ebbets Field on August 10, 1953. The Dodgers routed the Cardinals in that game, 19-4, with Robinson and Campanella each driving in five runs. The interior scoring section is detached from the spine; otherwise the program (6.75x10") remains in Excellent condition overall. Full LOA from PSA.
