Offered is a circa 1910 Type I original photograph of Charles Frederick "Heinie" Wagner, shortstop on the American League's Boston Americans/Red Sox. This 5x7" black & white photo was used for Heinie Wagner's T206 card. Wagner was born in Harlem, in New York City. He played 12 seasons in the Major Leagues: New York Giants (1902), Boston Americans/Red Sox (1906-13 & 1915-16 & 1918). He batted a career .250. Wagner was a part of three World Champions with Boston. The photo has been encapsulated and PSA Certified as Type I AUTHENTIC. The back of the photo has a Paul Thompson (NYC) copyright stamp and "Wagner, Bos Am" written in pencil in an unknown hand. The photo exhibits some crinkling in the upper right corner, but it is in otherwise excellent condition.
