Pair of Mizuno black-and-white baseball cleats worn by New York Yankees outfielder Darryl Strawberry during both the 1996 American League Playoffs and World Series. Strawberry has personally attested to their game-used status by inscribing each shoe in silver paint pen (grading 7/10 overall). The right shoe has been signed on the top of the toe plate "Darryl Strawberry/1996/Game Used/W. S./NY Yankees." The left shoe inscription appears on either side of the heel and reads "Darryl Strawberry/1996/Game Used/Playoff/NY Yankees." Additionally, Lelands has photo-matched the cleats to those worn by Strawberry during the 1996 fall classic. Photo-matches for this item can be accessed at Getty Images under the following numbers: Game 3 (52975271); Game 5 (459762349); and Game 6 (Getty 52975220). Both cleats display heavy wear, indicative of multiple-game use. Strawberry had three home runs and six RBI in the 1996 American League playoffs. He then started in five of the six World Series games to help lead the Yankees to their first World Championship since 1978.
