Circa 1977, this game used Sadaharu Oh bat was manufactured by Jun Ishiis. The ash bat with a flame-burned finish is uncracked and shows moderate wear with ball marks apparent on the right barrel. The bat is 34.75" long and weighs 31.8 ounces. The player has autographed the barrel of the bat in dark black ink with signatures in both English and Japanese. Known as the Japanese Babe Ruth, Oh is one of the most legendary players in Japanese baseball history, and his game used bats are exceedingly rare. A lifetime member of the Yomiuri Giants, the first baseman holds the baseball world record for home runs with 868, 106 more than the American record holder, Barry Bonds. Following his long playing career, Oh also served as the manager of both the Giants as well as the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks. The item is accompanied by a letter from PSA/DNA which covers both the authenticity of the bat as well as Oh's signature.
