Vintage autograph album featuring the signatures of five former New York Yankees players and three Philadelphia Athletics, including Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig. The signatures of both Ruth and Gehrig appear individually on separate pages, so both could easily be removed from the album if so desired. Ruth's signature has been boldly scripted in blue fountain pen and grades 9/10. Gehrig's signature has been signed in black fountain pen and grades 7/10. The remaining signatures in the album are those of Leo Durocher, Ben Paschal, Cedric Durst, Gene Robertson, Eric McNair, Cy Perkins, and Eddie Rommel. Each of the player signatures appears alone on a separate page except for McNair and Perkins, which share the same page. Signatures average 8.5/10. There are several other signatures in the book, which are those of school friends of the original owner. Although some of those pages are dated 1936, the Yankees players featured in the album all played together with the club in 1928 and 1929 (same for the three Philadelphia players), so it is likely that the baseball signatures were obtained during that two-year span. The leather-bound album (6.25x4.5") features a vertical crease to each cover, but the pages are all in Excellent condition. Individual full LOAs from PSA for both the Ruth and Gehrig signatures.
