Collection of twenty-one different original 1932 New York Yankees player photos, taken by famed Chicago baseball photographer George Burke, each personally inscribed on the front to New York Yankees Hall of Fame pitcher Lefty Gomez. These photos originate from Lefty Gomez's personal collection and nearly all of his Yankees teammates have personally inscribed their respective portrait photo to "Lefty," with many also adding a lengthy salutation regarding his pitching ability. Each photo bears Burke's credit stamp on the reverse and while none have been submitted to PSA, all would assuredly be certified as Type I. The signatures, scripted in black fountain pen, grade 8/10 on average. The photos (4x6") are in EX+ condition overall. The New York Yankees were World Champions in 1932 and the World Series victory over the Chicago Cubs marked the last of Babe Ruth's career. This is an outstanding collection of 1932 New York Yankees signatures, featuring two Hall of Famers and several tough autographs. The twenty-one team members represented here are Red Ruffing, Joe Sewell, Johnny Allen, Dan MacFayden, Walter Brown, Charlie Devens, Wilcy Moore, Eddie Farrell, Jimmy Mars, Jim Burke (coach), Art Fletcher (coach), Cy Perkins (coach), Frank Crosetti, Lyn Lary, Ben Chapman, Sam Byrd, Myril Hoag, Art Jorgens, George Pipgras, Ed Wells, and Erle "Doc" Painter (trainer; signed simply "Doc"). Accompanied by the vintage custom-made leather-covered album (titled "The Yankees 1932") that once housed them.
