Presented is a 1994 Michael Jordan Birmingham Barons game worn jersey. The size 46 pullover-style jersey has a Wilson tag in the neck and was worn by Jordan when he played baseball for the Double-A Birmingham Barons, an affiliate of the Chicago White Sox. Barons is sewn into the front of the jersey in white script font and gray trim, and Jordan's number 45 is on the back in white and gray as well. The jersey shows heavy use with loose threads on the 45 and Barons text. There is also some fading on the Wilson tag at the neck. Jordan played one season with the Barons in 1994, just a year after winning his third straight NBA Championship with the Chicago Bulls. Jordan was widely considered the best basketball player on the planet when he announced his retirement on October 6, 1993. Having lost his desire to play basketball at the time, Jordan chose to chase his dream of playing professional baseball instead. He appeared in 127 games for the Barons in 1994, his lone season of playing minor league baseball before un-retiring and returning to the Bulls in 1995. Due to the short lifespan of his baseball playing career, Jordan game worn baseball memorabilia is hard to come by and will remain in high demand.
