Magnificent "old time hockey" wear punctuates this highly-prized circa 1968 Buffalo Bisons jersey, game worn by Bob Ash. As history notes, the Bisons franchise was owned by the owner of a local Pepsi distributor who cross-marketed the two entities, creating a hockey logo resembling the iconic red, white, and blue Pepsi logo, except with BUFFALO embroidered across the white space in individual letters. Dick Fischer wash tag and size 46 tag are in the collar, and the white sweater shows use consistent with the rough-and-tumble American Hockey League of the era, including over 30 team repairs, loose threads, blood stains, paint transfers, and heavy wear around the neck. Ash played defense for the Bisons for three seasons, spanning from 1967-68 to '69-70. While he never made it to the NHL, he did play in the World Hockey Association for three seasons. Bisons jerseys have become coveted collectibles, and this one displays the character to stand with the best of them.
