Presented are the dual-cut signatures of Hall of Famers Ted Williams and Jimmie Foxx. Williams, the Splendid Splinter, played all 19 seasons of his Major League career with the Boston Red Sox. Despite losing the equivalent of almost five seasons for military service as a U.S. Marine pilot in World War II and the Korean Conflict, Williams hit 521 homers. He batted a career .344, winning six batting crowns. Williams has the highest OBP in Major League history (.482), and he is the last Major Leaguer to bat .400, hitting .406 in 1941. Jimmie Foxx played 20 Major League seasons. He was mainly a first and third baseman, and he also did some catching. Foxx hit a lifetime .325, with 534 home runs. Known as The Beast, he had a 1.038 career OPS, with two World Championships, and three AL MVP Awards, two batting titles, and four home run crowns. Foxx spent 11 seasons with the Philadelphia Athletics and spent seven seasons with the Boston Red Sox, and was a teammate of Williams with the Red Sox from 1939-42. Both cut signatures are together on a piece of paper or card stock measuring 2.2x4". The aforementioned piece is affixed to a larger (3.4x5.1") paper or card stock. Foxx signed in pencil, and Williams signed in blue ink. The ink on the Foxx autograph seems to have faded somewhat because of the passage of time. The smaller piece of paper or card stock, which directly exhibits the Williams and Foxx autographs, shows some paper folds, and there is a small tear at the edge of the larger paper or card stock piece. The dual cut signatures have been encapsulated and PSA/DNA CERTIFIED AUTHENTIC AUTO.
