Displayed is a mid-to-late 1970s Chicago White Sox warm-up jacket. The jacket was issued to players for pregame warmups and to use while on the bench or bullpen. The jacket appears to be of a satin-like material. The Chicago White Sox logo is sewn on the left chest area of the button-up windbreaker-style jacket. In the collar is a Wilson size 46 manufacturer's tag. The collar tag is frayed at the top. The jacket has metal, blue, working snap buttons down the front. The White Sox logo has a very small stain and a number of tiny spot stains. For a jacket that is most likely close to fifty years old, the item, aside from the aforementioned imperfections, is in excellent condition. There is no player name or number, so we are not certain who wore this. During the mid-1970s, the White Sox had Hall of Fame players such as pitchers Jim Kaat and Rich "Goose" Gossage, third baseman Ron Santo, and even outfielder Minnie Minoso, who played three games, mostly as a way to have Minoso play in many different decades. Perhaps, since there is no name or number in or on the jacket, the jacket was communal and was worn by a number of players.
