Collection of ten 11x14" black-and-white photos, each relating to either Jackie Robinson or the Brooklyn Dodgers. All the photos are second-generation modern prints, but appear to have been made from the original negatives. The collection consists of the following: 1) Roy Campanella posing in uniform. "The News" credit stamp appears on the reverse. 2) Jackie Robinson posing in uniform as a member of the Montreal Royals during spring training in 1946. Caption taped to the reverse. 3) Action photo capturing Phil Rizzuto being tagged out at third by the Dodgers' Spider Jorgenson during the 1947 World Series. Signed by both players in blue fine-point marker (grading 9/10) on the front. "The News" credit stamp appears on the reverse, as well as a taped caption. 4) Jackie Robinson posing in the locker room in uniform as a member of the Dodgers. 5) Jackie Robinson at bat during a game as a member of the Dodgers. 6-7) Two near-identical photos of Jackie Robinson as member of the Montreal Royals (one photo is a closeup of the other). Robinson is playing first base during an exhibition game against the Brooklyn Dodgers. Caption taped to the reverse of each. 8) 1947 Brooklyn Dodgers team photo. 9) Exterior view of Ebbets Field during the 1941 World Series. Caption taped to the reverse. 10) Interior view of the Ebbets Field rotunda. Barney Stein credit stamp on the reverse. One of the photos (Robinson playing first base) has adhesive residue on the reverse from having once been mounted, otherwise, all are in Excellent condition overall.
