Three-time All-Star Claude Osteen compiled a 20-11 record with 2.64 ERA in 1972, his eighth of nine seasons with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Straight from the Tennessee native's personal collection comes this stately trophy he received from the Dodgers, honoring him for his special season. The silver-plated trophy sits on top of a marble base and was awarded by the Baseball Writers Association of America, as its enameled emblem is on the trophy, which has the following engraving: CLAUDE OSTEEN LOS ANGELES DODGERS PITCHER OF YEAR 1972. The trophy has some tarnishing but otherwise is in EX condition.
