Collection of 141 film negatives, plus one color transparency, each picturing one or more Major League players. The majority are original negatives, but the collection also includes many duplicate negatives. Based upon the dates written on the sleeves, approximately 90-95% of the images capture players from the 1930s and 1950s. One of the Boudreau images was used for his 1949 M.P. & Co card and there may be other images used for trading cards. While most picture common players, many Hall of Famers and stars are featured in the grouping, including Connie Mack, Joe Cronin, Lou Boudreau, Warren Spahn, Gabby Hartnett, Joe Gordon, Casey Stengel, Al Simmons, Sam Chapman, Robin Roberts, Vince DiMaggio, Marty Marion, Roger Peckinpaugh, Wally Schang, Luke Appling, Rip Collins, Phil Cavarretta, Dick Sisler, Wally Berger, Tommy Holmes, Hal Schumacher, and Ford Frick. Additional player images in the collection (many more than once; different poses) include, Al Dark, Dixie Howell, Marty Marion, Lew Burdette, Rip Collins, Harry Taylor, Mike Kreevich, Lee Ross, John Babich, Nelson Potter, Hans Lobert, Elden Auker, Max West, John Lanning, Richard Bass, Ken Raffensberger, Thornton Lee, Mervin Connors, Vic Frasier, Emil "Dutch" Leonard, Johnny Rizzo, Mace Brown, Ray Berres, Al Todd, Bob Klinger, Bill Brubaker, Bill Swift, Gus Suhr, Jim Bagby, Riggs Stephenson, Frank May, Clint Brown, Woody English, Stan Hack, and Gus Mancuso. The one color transparency pictures Casey Stengel posing with Reds manager Fred Hutchinson at the 1961 World Series. All the negatives measure 4x5", while the transparency measures 2.5x2.25". Conditions range from Fair to Excellent, averaging Very Good.
