Tremendous goalie pads game worn during Hall of Famer Dominik Hasek's tenure with the Buffalo Sabres. Bauer Reactor pads are red with white and gray and show extensive use, including heavy wear to the leather surfaces, puck and stick marks, pilling, blood stains, and rust on the metal buckles. HASEK is embroidered in black lettering on the white leather outside of each pad, above an embroidered Bauer Reactor Custom Handcrafted logo on each. Buffalo changed from its traditional blue-and-yellow color scheme to red-and-black in 1996; along with photos style-matching this pair, that narrows the use time frame to 1996-2001. During that five-season window, The Dominator earned his nickname by becoming the first netminder in NHL history to win the Hart Trophy as the league's MVP on two occasions ('96-97 and '97-98) while taking home four of his six Vezina Trophy awards as the top goaltender.
