Collection of forty-three vintage news photos, spanning the years 1982-91, all capturing Isiah Thomas of the Detroit Pistons. This collection originates from the archives of the Detroit Free Press and features many fresh images of Thomas during the prime of his career. Nearly all the photos are game-action shots and include Thomas facing off against a bevy of star players, including Michael Jordan, Dominique Wilkins, and David Robinson. The vast majority bear the date of the game on the reverse, as well as the name of the player(s) pictured. Thirty-one photos are in black-and-white, while the remainder are in color. All measure approximately 8x10" except for five, which are slightly smaller. Approximately sixty percent display editorial markings on the front; otherwise most remain in Excellent condition overall. Also included are four Chicago Bulls black-and-white team-composite photos (8x10"), consisting of three from the 1996-97 season and one from the 1988-89 season.
