1996 Philadelphia 76ers Opening Night ticket is an outstanding example, ranking as the highest graded in the PSA Population database. Die-cut full ticket has a magnificent look, fitting for the Inaugural Game at the CoreStates Center (now known as the Wells Fargo Center). The bottom section is rectangular, measuring 3.5" across, though the amazing outline and year 1996 extend beyond those borders at the top, which is 8.5" from the base. The color remains sharp and, considering the size and intricate nature of the die-cut, it's not surprising that this is the only ticket of 35 in the PSA registry to hold a FULL MINT 9 designation, with none higher. Also that night, Hall of Famer Allen Iverson made his NBA debut, giving fans a taste of what was to come, pouring in 30 points with 6 assists as the Sixers fell to a 111-103 defeat at the hands of the Milwaukee Bucks. Iverson lived up to his billing as the complete package, winning Rookie of the Year honors in '96 and the MVP award in 2000-01 to go with four NBA scoring titles and leading the league in steals three times over his 14 seasons.
