Circa 1979 Dwayne Woodruff Pittsburgh Steelers game worn jersey has no year tag but the Sand Knit size 46 tagging on front tail and style of neck dates it to 1970-1974. There is evidence of another nameplate being on the back, so this jersey was worn by someone else in the 1970-74 era and then given to Woodruff to wear. As the only players to wear 49 from 1974 were John Sodaski (1970) and Ralph Anderson (1971-72), and given the length of the previous outline, we believe Ralph Anderson was the previous player to wear it. Woodruff's rookie season was in 1979 so we are attributing use by him circa 1979. Number 49 is on front, sleeves, and back, and the name is in yellow letters on a plate above the rear number. Nice use includes general wear with scattered team repairs. Woodruff played his entire career with the Steelers and was part of the Super Bowl XIV Championship squad.
