1939 Centennial of Baseball three-cent stamp boldly signed in black fountain pen on the front by Hall of Fame shortstop Honus Wagner. PSA has encapsulated the stamp and graded the signature GEM MINT 10. While 1939 Centennial of Baseball first-day covers signed by Wagner are often seen at auction, signed Centennial of Baseball stamps are not. This is the first example we have ever offered and we cannot recall the last time we have seen another. Obviously, their small size is probably the main reason why autograph collectors did not often present them to players for signing, but a few, such as the original owner of this stamp, chose to throw caution to the wind, thereby resulting in one of the scarcest of all Honus Wagner signed 1939 Centennial of Baseball items. The stamp (1.5x1") remains in Excellent to Mint condition. It is housed in a plastic sleeve (inside the PSA holder), and could be removed if so desired.
