Cincinnati Reds road jersey worn by relief pitcher Pedro Borbon during the club's 1970 pennant-winning season. The gray flannel jersey is lettered "Cincinnati" across the front and features the number 34 on the front and reverse. "Borbon" is lettered on the reverse, directly above the number. All front letters are applied in red on white tackle twill, while all numerals and reverse lettering is applied in red tackle twill. The name "Borbon" is chain-stitched in red upon a gray strip tag in the collar. A Wilson 38 label is located on the left front tail, directly below which is the year, "1970," chain-stitched in red. The name on the reverse has been restored; otherwise the jersey is original as issued and displays light wear. 1970 marked Pedro Borbon's first season with the Reds and just his second year in the Majors. Borbon appeared in twelve games during the 1970 season, finishing the season with an 0-2 record and a 6.75 ERA. Over the next several seasons he blossomed into a top relief pitcher and was one of the key members of the club's 1975-1976 "Big Red Machine" championship dynasty.
