Displayed is an important MLB Legends multi-signed autograph album, with two Babe Ruth signatures and 35 total autographs. The fascinating album measures 4.5x6.2", and it contains 100+ pages, and all of the autographs are on the first nine pages, with an average of about four autographs on each page. The red autograph book has multi-colored pages. The front cover has a machine-stamped "Autographs". The manufacturer's name is unmarked. Most of the signatures are in black ink from a steel tip fountain pen, but Babe Ruth's second signature is in pencil. Hall of Famers: Babe Ruth (2), Bill Terry, Gabby Hartnett (2), Freddie Lindstrom, Kenesaw Mountain Landis (the first Baseball Commissioner), Mickey Cochrane, Charlie Gehringer, Billy Herman, and Chuck Klein. Key autographs: Cy. Perkins, Jimmie Dykes (2), Al Schacht, Augie Galan (2), Lon Warneke, Phil Cavarretta, Billy Jurges, Hugh Casey. Also signing was William Frawley, the well-known actor who played next-door neighbor Fred Mertz on the I Love Lucy television series. Frawley was a great baseball fan and appeared in a number of baseball movies, including Alibi Ike and It Happened in Brooklyn. The album pages exhibit some darkening because of the passage of time. The red strings which run through the grommets show some places where the red outer covering on the strings has rubbed away to reveal very small areas of white string underneath. The back cover of the album shows some light, small stains, and corner wear. Machine-stamped onto the back cover is "Made In U.S.A." The album comes with a coaster, with a diameter of 4", that reads, "New York Yankees" and shows a generic batter. Overall, the album adds vintage baseball tradition to any memorabilia assemblage.
