Hardbound German photo album housing 46 vintage black-and-white photos relating to the 1936 Summer Olympics, held in Berlin, Germany. Forty-four of the photos (3.5x2.75") are commercial prints, with the majority reading "Copyright/Press Bild. Centrale/Berlin SW 68" in either the lower left or right corner. Most are also numbered. The remaining two photos in the album are vintage snapshot photos (3.75x2.5") with scalloped edges. Included among the images are many scenes from the opening ceremonies, various torch lightings, city scenes from Berlin, views of the Olympic Stadium, and several night scenes. Also included is a photo of Adolph Hitler at the Olympic Stadium and another picturing a large dirigible over the stadium. The photos are in Near Mint condition overall and each is housed in a paper sleeve (all can be easily removed if so desired). The album, with leather spine and corner accents, displays moderate-to-heavy wear along the exterior, but the pages are all in Excellent to Mint condition.
