Ring outfit worn by legendary professional wrestler Terry Funk. The white tee-shirt, with cut out collar, features Funk's portrait image on the front and is lettered "Hardcore Students/Funk U/School of Hard Knocks." Together with a multicolor pair of "Hot Skins" full-length pants. Both the shirt and pants are stamped "From the Collection of Terry Funk" on the interior. Terry Funk ring-worn apparel is rare and both of these items originate directly from Funk's estate. While we do not know exactly when Funk wore these items in the ring, they most likely date to sometime later in his career, probably during his hardcore period in ECW or Japan. Both garments display use, including what appears to be a small blood stain on the reverse of the shirt. There are few professional wrestlers in history whose careers can compare with Terry Funk. Considered one of the true superstars in the sport, Funk's career spanned nearly fifty years and he helped found the hardcore wrestling style that is now almost synonymous with his name. A headliner at every arena he appeared, Funk worked for nearly every major promotion and held numerous titles over the course of his long career. Today, he is a member of several wrestling Halls of Fame, including NWA, WCW, WWE, and Hardcore.
