Wrestling singlet, shoes, and Team USA cap attributed to US Champion Matt Ghaffari. Singlet shows nice use with Matman size XXL label printed inside back. Red singlet has American flag motif on top front, with USA pressed on right thigh in blue-on-white, and in all white on the back. Wrestling shoes are black with red and purple highlights and hammered with use; size 13 tag is inside tongue. Unused baseball cap is navy blue with red bill, and has USA embroidered in red above the Olympic rings. Cap looks unused and is signed on the bill in 7/10 black marker with inscriptions including "96 Silver" and "Wrestling 286 pounds." Despite brief forays into the world of mixed martial arts and pro wrestling, he is best remembered as a 7-time US champ in his weight class and for his valiant effort at the '96 Summer Games in Atlanta, where he took overwhelming favorite Aleksandr Karelin of Russia to overtime in the Gold Medal match before suffering a hearbreaking 1-0 defeat, settling for the Silver.
