1970-72 Bobby Tolan Cincinnati Reds game used bat is a Louisville Slugger measuring 34" and weighing 33 ounces. Extensive use includes a lengthy crack and an incredible amount of pine tar that takes up nearly half the bat. Number 28 is stenciled in black on the knob along with a stamped "01." While we can't put an exact year on use, Tolan missed the 1971 season due to injury, thus we estimate that it was used in either 1970 or '72. One of the unsung heroes of the Big Red Machine era, Tolan batted .316 with a league-leading 57 stolen bases in 1970 and added 47 swipes with a .283 mark upon his return in '72.
