1991 Lelands "The Glory Days" live auction catalog, signed by Mickey Mantle on the front cover. Mantle has flawlessly inscribed the catalog "To Ron/Best Wishes/Mickey Mantle" in black marker, with the signature grading 10/10. Lelands' 1991 "Glory Days" auction was not only the company's first live auction, but one of the earliest live sports auctions. The highlights of the auction were several important Mickey Mantle items, including his 1967 Yankees jersey, cap, and a signed game bat from Mickey Mantle Day. Because of the significance of the Mantle items being offered, Lelands founder Josh Evans arranged for Mantle to personally appear at the auction in promotion of the sale. During his time at the event, Mantle graciously signed a few items for Lelands staff members. The "Ron" to whom this book belonged is Ron Oser, a longtime hobbyist and, at the time of the auction, vice president of Lelands' vintage card division. This is a rare piece of Lelands auction history, made all the more significant by having been signed by Mantle. The forty-nine-page soft-cover catalog (8.5x11") remains in Near Mint condition.
