Minnesota Twins ticket stub issued for Game 1 of the 1965 World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers played at Metropolitan Stadium on October 6th. Graded VG 3 by PSA. This is the game in which Sandy Koufax sat out for religious reasons. Koufax is Jewish and the game fell on Yom Kippur, the holiest day on the Jewish Calendar. Don Drysdale made the start instead, but was defeated 8-2. Koufax eventually made three starts in the Series, winning two of them, including Game 7, which gave the Dodgers the World Championship. 4.25x2.25"
