Ken Griffey Jr. game-used cleat, signed by Griffey in silver paint pen (grading 7/10) on the top of the shoe. This cleat was signed by Griffey under the auspices of Upper Deck and is accompanied an LOA from the company which describes them as "Ken Griffey Game Worn Shoes." (Despite the plural term on the LOA, only one cleat is offered in this lot.) The black Nike "Zoom Air" cleat features the Griffey "Swingman" logo on the top of the tongue. The cleat (size 11) displays light -to-moderate use, with dirt remnants on the underside. The inner sole is missing. The manufacturer's tag displays coding that dates the cleats to the 1998 season. Griffey enjoyed another banner season in 1998, batting .284 with 146 RBI and a league-leading 56 home runs. He also won his tenth consecutive Gold Glove Award and finished fourth in the MVP voting at season's end. Full LOA from Upper Deck.
