Displayed is a circa 1991 Ken Griffey Jr. Seattle Mariners signed game used Nike Air cleats. The Hall of Fame center fielder, known as "Junior" and "the Kid" played 22 seasons in the Major Leagues: Seattle Mariners (1989-99 & 2019-10), Cincinnati Reds (2000-2008), Chicago White Sox (2008). The 13-time All-Star was a 10-time Gold Glove recipient and a 7-time Silver Slugger Award winner. He batted .284 for his career, with 630 homers, and he was the 1997 AL MVP. In 1990-91, Junior and his father, Ken Griffey Sr., became the first father and son players to play on the same Major League team at the same time. The cleats are Nike Air #910112, size 11. The shoes were made in Korea. "Nike Air" with accompanying Swoosh is imprinted on the heel and outside tongue of each shoe. Nike is also imprinted under the outside heel of each cleat. "NIKE" is on the underneath, outside instep, in raised letters, on the right cleat, but this rubber-like raised lettering is missing from the undersole of the left cleat. Griffey has vintage signed each cleat, using a silver marker, on the outside of each heel, in neat, big, and bold script. Junior can be seen wearing this model in 1990, 1991, and 1992. The cleats show great use, with dirt still on the underside of each cleat. A large Swoosh is sewn on both sides of each cleat. "The Kid's" number "24" is on back of each, written by an unknown hand in black marker. The offering comes with great documentation of when the cleats were purchased in 1992. The cleats come with a PSA LOA for the signatures.
