Original watercolor on paper, by noted sports artist Robert G. Sullivan, picturing New Jersey Generals star running back Herschel Walker. Signed and dated ("'83") by the artist in the middle left portion of the piece. This artwork was originally commissioned for the front cover illustration of "Kickoff," the official magazine of the United States Football League (1983 vol. 1, #4). Walker, of course, was the USFL's biggest star during its inaugural 1983 season. rushing for 1,812 yards and scoring 18 touchdowns. In his three seasons with the New Jersey Generals, Walker rushed for 5,562 yards, including a USFL record 2,411 yards in 1985, the league's final season. The painting (16x19.5"; visible dimensions) is in apparent Mint condition and has been matted and framed together with an original cover of "Kickoff" magazine featuring this image and the magazine's contents page, which lists Sullivan as the artist.
