Tremendous, rare game-used jersey and hockey pants comes directly from a prominent figure in one of hockey's most revered families, Hall of Famer Craig Patrick. Fans of the defunct World Hockey Association will find an amazing rarity in this set from the Minnesota Fighting Saints; the franchise only existed for five seasons from 1972-73 to 1976-77, but for the first four seasons the base color was blue. The scarlet, yellow, and white scheme used in this offering only appeared in the final season, dating it conclusively to '76-77 and making it a scarcity among scarcities. White home jersey is all original with Rawlings size 50 tag in collar and additional Steichen's Sports Equipment tag, displays extensive use including stick marks, pilling, burns, and paint transfers. Loop-type fight strap is present and intact. Set comes with matching red pants with "40" written in black marker in the tail pad for the size; there's also a small flag tag with 40 on it. Cooper pants still have original padding showing excellent use, particularly to the buttons used for the hockey suspenders. Of course, the Patrick name carries great cachet in hockey circles, and he did his family proud as the Assistant GM of Team USA's 1980 "Miracle on Ice" squad and won back-to-back Stanley Cup titles as GM of the Pittsburgh Penguins.
