On-site boxing poster issued in promotion of the twelve-round bout between Muhammad Ali and George Chuvalo at the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver, Canada, on March 13, 1972. This fight was postponed on February 22 and subsequently took place on May 1, 1972. The colorful poster, which would have been displayed throughout the Pacific Northwest area, features large full-length photos of each fighter. The text along the base makes note that there would be "No T.V. Western Canada/State of Washington/Oregon." Ali defeated Chuvalo by unanimous decision in this, their second bout (Ali first defeated Chuvalo in 1966). The poster (23x35"), printed on paper, displays general wear, including a few light creases, tiny edge tears, and light perimeter foxing. None of those minor flaws, however, detracts in the least from its overall Excellent appearance. Please Note: The size and/or weight of this lot will necessitate an increased shipping charge.
