Original concert photo of Van Halen lead guitarist Eddie Van Halen, taken in 1984, in the midst of performing his classic instrumental, "Eruption." Black and white 7x9" photo has no border and shows a topless Eddie, guitar held horizontally to his body, demonstrating the technique of "tapping," which would become very popular. Though an instrumental, Eruption is easily recognizable, as the cut from the band's 1978 debut album preceded - and is often played along with - the band's cover of the Kinks hit, "You Really Got Me." Back has editors notes in pencil, stickers from London Features International and another dated May 13, 1984, with typewritten caption reading, "Eddie Van Halen at the Los Angeles Forum for a Van Halen Rock Concert."
