The 1927 New York Yankees were a juggernaut of a baseball team. Under the guidance of manager Miller Huggins, the Yankees cruised to a 110-44-1 record to win the American League pennant. In the World Series, the Bronx Bombers would not be denied as they swept the Pittsburgh Pirates in four straight games. The team was nicknamed “Murderers’ Row” as the batting lineup was incredibly impressive with Babe Ruth (60 home runs), Lou Gehirg (47) and Tony Lazzeri (18) leading the way. This lot features a Yankees team-signed OAL Reach baseball autographed by 25 members of the club from that monumental season. "Babe" Ruth (clubhouse signature) graces the sweet spot while other HOF signatures include Gehrig and Lazzeri (on the same panel), Huggins, Earle Combes, and starting pitchers Waite Hoyt and Herb Pennock. Other notable autographs include Urban Shocker, Mark Koenig, Bob Meusel and Joe Dugan. The baseball has been preserved in a shellac-like substance that offers a glistening orange glow. The "Babe" Ruth signature was deemed clubhouse by PSA. Comes with full LOA from PSA.
