Washington Bullets warmup suit worn by Hall of Fame center Moses Malone during the 1986-1987 season. The white jacket, with red, white, and blue accents, features the team name, "Bullets" on the reverse, above which is a representation of a basketball. The lettering is applied in blue on red tackle twill, while the ball is applied in white and blue tackle twill. The NBA logo patch appears on the right breast. Located on the right interior button panel are a "Sand-Knit 46" label and a second Sand-Knit label reading in part "Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the Washington Bullets." Located on the left interior button panel are three separate white strip tags, each embroidered in black. The first tag features Malone's uniform number (4), the second bears the year (86) and third features an additional garment measurement (3" LB). The matching white pants, with red, white, and blue piping down the side of each leg, features an NBA logo patch at the top of the right leg. Both a "Sand-Knit 38" label and a second Sand-Knit label, reading in part "Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the Washington Bullets," appear in the waistband. A series of white strip tags, each embroidered in black, are also located in the waistband and feature Malone's uniform number (4), the year (86), and additional garment measurements. (1 1-2" HR 38" IN). Both the jacket and pants are original as issued and display moderate wear. One of the most dominant centers of the modern era, Malone averaged 24.1 points per game and 11.3 rebounds per game for Washington in the 1986-1987 season. NBA full warmup suits from this era are scare, especially those worn by players of Malone's stature, making this an extremely desirable Hall of Famer garment that would be a welcome addition to any advanced NBA uniform collection.
