Two-time All-Star outfielder Hoot Evers signed this baseball after smashing it 415 feet for a ninth-inning, walk-off, inside-the-park home run. The date was June 23, 1950, and Evers' second-place Tigers were trailing the first-place Yankees, 9-8. With one out, Vic Wertz doubled and Evers followed with a deep shot to center that could not be caught by Joe DiMaggio. The ball, which shows tremendous toning, is filled with Evers' description of his thrilling game-winner, including the date, the score (DETROIT 10, NEW YORK 9), "NINTH INNING HOME RUN" and his signature. Also written on the ball: "THIS BALL WAS HIT 415 FEET FOR AN INSIDE THE PARK HOMER." Evers was an All-Star in 1950, batting .323. Comes with PSA LOA.
