Tremendous jersey celebrating the Canadian Armed Forces worn during Toronto Maple Leafs pregame warmup by superstar Auston Mathews. This dates to Saturday, February 11, 2023, following the Maple Leafs' annual Canadian Armed Forces game before the Leafs hosted the Columbus Blue Jackets. Olive drab/camo-themed top has a black Maple Leafs logo screened across the chest and shows little use. Adidas size 58 tag is in collar, tag reading "I Salute" with room to add a name and branch is at the left hem, and - oddly for a single-use warmup jersey - it has a fight strap. Number 34 is in black on each shoulder, ironically blending into the camo background, and on back, name is on a plate above the rear number. This is a rare opportunity to bid on a piece worn by one of the best of a phenomenal group of "Next Generation" NHL superstars, drafted first overall by Toronto in the 2016 draft; Mathews has scored no less than 34 goals in each of his first seven seasons, and his 299 to date could put him on pace to challenge the great Wayne Gretzky (or perhaps, Alex Ovechkin) if he enjoys a lengthy and healthy career.
