Amazing and historic 1927 baseball was not only game used, but is also from the game in which Babe Ruth hit his 359th career home run. Official American League (Johnson) ball has blue and red seams, with handwritten notations indicating, "NY 6, WAS 2 - 4-2-27" and "Hit by Koenig." The notation makes it clear that this was not the ball that Ruth belted for his homer, though it is attributed to a hit by Yankees shortstop Mark Koenig. As written on the ball, the Yankees claimed a 6-2 win over the Washington Senators at Griffith Stadium, and this ball was used for his 3rd inning double. Hard to find game used balls of this era in this, or any, condition. Comes with MEARS LOA.
