Historic ticket dates from the final weeks of Mickey Mantle's Hall of Fame career. Though his skills were diminishing, Mick still had some pop in his bat, hitting a pair of homers accounting for his team's only runs in the New York Yankees' 3-2 defeat at the hands of the Minnesota Twins at Yankee Stadium on August 10, 1968. This would be the last time that the Commerce Comet hit two round-trippers in the same game. Stub measures 1.5x2.75" and is bright orange with very clear print. It has been encapsulated by PSA as STUB GOOD 2; the main reason for the low grade is a small pair of staple holes at the very top, and slight roughness of the tear which only appears with some paper loss to the back. From the front, the tear is near-perfect and this carries an outstanding overall look. Lot comes with unscored program from that game (EX - some toning on scorecard) and newspaper clip detailing the feat.
