In his letter, written to his good friend Bob Campbell just before the start of spring training, Robinson expresses the joy of owning his own home and talks about the success of his new radio show. In part: "We have just about finished as far as buying our place goes and it really be nice to move into our own place because we at least will see where some money is going. My radio program is really a success. We have had practically every big name in sports and have built up a tremendous listening audience. It seems that every week more people want to come to our Saturday show." Signed "Always just, Jackie" in black ink. The letter (7.25x10.5") displays two horizontal folds and light toning.
