One-page typed letter, dated March 23, 1940, signed by Hall of Fame catcher Mickey Cochrane. In his letter, to "Miss Margaret Little" of the Brockton Public Library, Cochrane responds to several questions that were submitted to him. Included among the questions were what was Cochrane's greatest thrill in baseball ("My greatest thrill in baseball came in 1935 when I crossed the plate with the winning run in the ninth inning, World Series against the Chicago Cubs") and what would be his advice to an aspiring professional athlete ("To young people aspiring to become professional athletes I would say that you must have the will to win, determination to succeed, practice constantly, and always be ready to learn from others"). Signed "G. S. Cochrane" in black fountain pen (grading 8/10). The letter, written on "Dryden Rubber Company" letterhead (Cochrane was a salesman with the company at the time), measures 8.5x11" and displays two horizontal mailing folds. Excellent condition overall. Full LOA from PSA.
