Original Type I photograph capturing "Smoky Joe" Wood as a member of the Boston Red Sox in 1912. A smiling Wood is pictured sitting in the dugout. Wood had good reason to smile in 1912, as he won a league and career-high 34 games in helping to lead the Red Sox to their first of four World Championships during the decade. Wood's name is written on the reverse, along with several editorial notations and the date stamps "Oct 15 1912" and "Feb 25 1917." The photo (5x8") displays a rough left border and moderate creasing. In Good to Very Good condition overall. Encapsulated as Type I Authentic by PSA.
